CJ Du Toit - Auction Consultant and Movable Asset Specialist
CJ Joined the company in 1993 and was the inspiration behind the Winelands Auction Gallery in Stellenbosch. CJ has a flair for objects’de art, antiques, art and collectables. CJ heads up our auction centre and controls all movable assets and off site movable auctions. He has gained vast knowledge over the years and carries out valuations of movable and immovable property for Liquidation, Insolvent and Deceased Estates. CJ's commitment to hard work and perfection allows the auctions to run smoothly and efficiently. CJ has a wonderful rapport with the buyers and sellers alike and is responsible for keeping our auction centre a cut above the norm.

Brigette Hindley - General Manager
Brigette joined MJO in 1998 and brought with her a strong background and knowledge of the motoring and trucking industry. She has become a well-respected member in the vehicle trade. She manages the vehicle auctions and safety of our repossessed vehicles, she has a heavy-duty truck license and is capable of transporting all types of vehicles. Brigette also specialises in valuations for estate and liquidation purposes. Her sound discipline and professional manner has made her a valuable part of our team.

John Dunn - Vehicle & Movable Auction Specialist
In 2009 John was chosen from a number of young vibrant applicants to assist the vehicle manager at MJO in all aspects of vehicle auctions. His passion for the technical side of machinery allows him to explain and guide potential clients wisely.

Gibson Mpekula - Vehicle Auction Specialist
Gibson is a valuable employee, always cheerful, willing and helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble for him. In the 12 years Gibson has been employed at MJO he assists in the vehicle auctions whilst having a great knowledge and understanding in the second hand vehicle trade.

Lully Horak – Assistant to Directors
Lully joined Michael James Organisation in 2005, she has streamlined the valuations department enabling things to run smoothly and efficiently. Valuations of vehicles, plant, machinery, immovable properties, fishing vessels and aircraft are carried out countrywide. MJO's valuation department has expanded substantially in the last ten years and we pride ourselves on excellent turnaround times and professional valuation reports.

Lechaé August - Assistant to Directors

Lechaé joined our company in March 2013 as the receptionist and front office administrator, assisting with auction registration. Lechaé has since been promoted, and now handles all our in-house design and marketing material for various branches as well as travelling to property auctions to assist with registration and admin, helping them to run smoothly and efficiently.

Paula Voges - Assistant to Directors
Paula Voges originally joined the Michael James Organisation in 1985 as their front office lady. It wasn’t long before she became involved in the in-house movable auctions. She continued to gain experience and branched out into the property aspect of auctions. Before leaving in 1995 to start a family Paula was Michael’s PA, she had enjoyed 10 years with the company. Now 15 years later Paula has re-joined the company bringing with her knowledge and commitment to the auctioneering business.

Wilmien Louw ( accounting) - Financial Manager
Wilmien started at the Michael James Organisation in May 2009 and took over the existing position of Financial Manager, overseeing the groups four branches namely;- Somerset West, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Gauteng. Her duties include credit managing and cash managing. Wilmien prepares the financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets and management accounts, summarising and forecasting the financial position of the group.

Liana Keller – Assistant to Financial Manager
Liana joined Michael James Organisation in May 2012, she is assisting the Financial Manager with general accounting duties including debtors, creditors and cashbooks, Liana also assists with the monthly repossession auctions and the accounting thereof.

Judy Hindley – Auction Assistant (repossessed assets)
Judy joined the Michael James team as front office lady but wasn’t in that position for long, she was later offered a position to assist in the running of the movable asset repossession auctions at our second storage facility in Edgar Street, Somerset West.

Eastern Cape

Robert Blignault - Director
Robert joined the company in 2002 and is responsible for this branch of the company. Originating from the banking world Robert has a good understanding of how an auctioneering company runs and what procedures are followed when procuring liquidation and insolvency matters. Robert continues to build good relations within the banking world thus ensuring good service to our corporate clients.

Ashton Galpin - Auctioneer
Ashton joined our Eastern Cape Branch in 2003 and has had many years of experience in the auctioneering industry and is an extremely good auctioneer, Ashton brings with him a strong following of clients in the Eastern Cape.

Rolene Kotze - Manager
Rolene joined the company in 1996 and started the wheels in motion together with Andrew James in setting up our Eastern Cape operations. Rolene heads up our vehicle repossession auctions as well as the sale of immovable properties, Rolene is an extremely valuable part of our team and her level of commitment continues.

Cape Town

Alan Scully - Director
Originating from the IT industry, Alan came to MJO in July 2005. Alan decided to broaden his horizons as the auction industry and property market was vastly appealing to him. Alan heads the MJO Cape Town branch and has implemented a large number of new ideas within the company. Coming from a corporate background, Alan brings with him fresh ideas and fantastic drive.

Deanne Lombard - Assistant to Directors
Deanne joined MJO in 2011 as the personal assistant to Alan Scully, director of the Cape Town branch of Michael James Organisation. Deanne performs administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the office as well as dealing with valuations and assisting at auctions helping them to run smoothly and efficiently.

Jane Kajie - Front Office
Jane joined MJO as receptionist and front office administrator in the Cape Town branch. A hardworking and self-reliant individual who is efficient in carrying out administrative tasks in pressured environments, Jane has a high level of commitment and is a very good team member.
